A dripping tap wastes water and stains the sink, and in hard-water areas like ours it usually comes down to a worn ceramic cartridge rather than a tap that has come to the end of its life. Replacing the cartridge is quick and much cheaper than a new tap.
When a tap is being replaced, the awkward part is nearly always the old back nut behind the sink. We come prepared for seized fittings, fit isolation valves while we are under there, and leave both feeds serviceable for next time.

Pricing
Fixed price for a standard tap change, including isolation valves. Boiling-water taps are quoted separately as they need a tank, an electrical point and space in the cupboard.

- Usually yes. Modern mixers use ceramic disc cartridges that are replaced as a unit, matched to the tap make and size.
- Do boiling-water taps need anything special?
- They need an under-sink tank, a switched electrical socket and space in the cupboard. We check all three before recommending one.
- Will a new tap work on my pressure?
- Some taps need a minimum pressure to work well. Tell us your system, or we will check on the visit, before you buy.
